Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Allen Media Projects ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the DollarAMP web application located at budget.dollaramp.com ("App") and website located at dollaramp.com ("Website"), collectively referred to as the "Services."
By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and encrypted password.
- Financial Data: Account names, balances, transactions, budget categories, budget amounts, and vendor names you enter into the App.
- Payment Information: When you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and stores your payment details. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; we retain only a subscription identifier and limited billing metadata (e.g., plan, status, and the card brand and last four digits) returned by Stripe.
- Communications: When you contact us for support, we collect your email address and message content.
Information From Linked Bank Accounts (Optional)
Bank connections are entirely optional. If you choose to connect a bank account, we use Stripe Financial Connections to establish a read-only link that lets us retrieve, on your behalf:
- Your transactions (date, amount, and description) so we can display them for your review and categorization.
- Your account balances, shown for reference only.
- Basic account details such as the institution name and a masked account number (e.g., the last four digits).
Stripe handles the connection to your bank and your bank login credentials directly — we never see or store your online banking username or password. The access is read-only: we cannot move, withdraw, or transfer funds. You can disconnect a linked bank at any time (see "Your Choices" below).
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features used and session duration.
- Log Data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect or store your bank login credentials. Bank connections are made through Stripe, which handles authentication directly with your financial institution.
- We do not have the ability to move, withdraw, or transfer money from any connected account — access is strictly read-only.
- We do not store full payment card numbers; card details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe.
- We do not collect precise GPS location data.
- We do not collect Social Security numbers or government-issued IDs.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
- Process your subscription and manage your account
- Store and sync your budgets, transactions, and account data
- Retrieve and display transactions and balances from banks you choose to connect, so you can review, match, and categorize them
- Power features like vendor memory and auto-categorization
- Respond to your questions and support requests
- Send you technical notices and service updates
- Analyze usage trends to improve user experience
- Protect against fraudulent or illegal activity
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With vendors who assist us in operating the Services (e.g., Amazon Web Services for cloud hosting and Google Analytics for usage analytics), subject to confidentiality obligations. Analytics cookies load only with your consent and can be turned off via "Your Privacy Choices" in the footer.
- Stripe (Payments & Bank Connections): We use Stripe as our payment processor and, for optional bank connections, as our bank-data provider (Stripe Financial Connections). Stripe processes your payment and bank-connection data under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- With Your Consent: When you direct us to share information with third parties.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest to protect your information. Authentication is handled through AWS Cognito with industry-standard security practices.
While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you Services. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@dollaramp.com. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
Your Choices
- Account Information: You can update your email or password within the App settings.
- Data Export: You can export your budget and transaction data at any time from the App.
- Bank Connections: You can disconnect any linked bank at any time from Settings → Linked Banks. Disconnecting revokes our access at Stripe and deletes the stored bank-connection data; transactions still awaiting your review are removed, while transactions you already approved remain in your budget history.
- Account Deletion: You can request complete deletion of your account and data by contacting support.
- Cookies: You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some features may not function properly.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the following rights:
- Right to Know: Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: Direct us not to sell or share your personal information.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: Limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: Exercise these rights without receiving discriminatory treatment.
We do not sell your personal information. To manage cookies or opt out of analytics, use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of this site. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and disable analytics automatically. To exercise any other California privacy right, contact us at support@dollaramp.com.
Children's Privacy
The Services are not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
